The Chivito is a sandwich originating in Uruguay. It contains a churrasco (tender steak) between two layers of bread, with slices of ham, mozzarella and bacon, one cooked or fried egg, mayonnaise, tomato slices and lettuce.
There are also different types of chivitos on the plate (without breads), which can be complemented with home made French fries, Uruguayan style Russian salad, mushrooms, hearts of palm, vegetables or fruits.
